WCSU Rowing Club

In the spring of 2010, GMS Rowing Center partnered with Western Connecticut State University to launch the school's first-ever rowing program. In its inaugural first season, WCSU Rowing Club turned out an impressive group of student athletes who helped establish the team as a permanent fixture on campus. Now returning for its second season, WCSU Rowing Club is open to all students who are currently enrolled at Western Connecticut State University, both men and women. No prior experience is necessary to join the team—walk-ons are always welcome.

As one of the oldest collegiate sports, rowing is steeped in Ivy League tradition. With the instatement of this rowing club, WCSU joins the prestigious ranks of other top-notch schools across the country. In recent years, WCSU has made a name for itself not only as a premier academic institution, but also as a formidable athletic contender within its division.
